The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1500 block of Isherwood Street, NE.
At approximately 7:16 pm on Sunday, April 20, 2008, officers from the First District were called to an apartment building located in the 1500 block of Isherwood Street, NE, to investigate the trouble. Upon arrival, an adult male was discovered inside of an apartment unit in an unconscious condition suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds. DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the scene but could find no signs consistent with life. The victim was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia and pronounced dead.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 72-year-old James A. Germany of the 1500 block of Isherwood Street, NE.
