The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that a second arrest has been made in the March 28, 2008, fatal shooting of Dolmi Bonilla. Detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch arrested one suspect on the afternoon of April 21, 2008.  The second suspect, identified 26-year-old Darnel Curtis Morris, was arrested, without incident, in the 4400 block of Ponds Street, NE at about 6:30 on the morning of Friday, April 25, 2008.  He has been charged with Murder II.

Mr. Bonilla was discovered in the rear of the Unit block of 49th Street, NE, at approximately 2:30 pm on Friday, March 28, 2008, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center and subsequently pronounced dead.
