Homicide at 8th and Yuma Streets, SE

At approximately 12:32 am, on Saturday, April 26, 2008, police were called to the Greater Southeast Hospital for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 31-year-old Kenneth Walley, of the 3900 block of 8th Street, SE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead. 

 

It was later learned that the victim who had been reportedly shot at 8th and Yuma Streets, drove himself to Greater Southeast hostpital.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM(E).

 

The department currently offers reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
