Homicide at Morse and Montello Streets, NE

At approximately 2:07 am on Saturday, April 26, 2008, police were called to the intersection of Morse and Montello Streets, NE, for the report of shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Melvin R. Seals, of the 4600 block of Foote Street, NE. He was taken to the Howard University Hospital and pronounced dead.  

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM(E).

 

The department currently offers reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
