At approximately 4 am on Saturday, April 26, 2008, police were called to the 2400 block of Elvans Road, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located 20-year-old Erric Woods, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the George Washington Hospital and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM(E).

The department currently offers reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
