Fatal Shooting at Fort Davis and Q Streets, SE

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the fatal shooting of a man which occurred on Monday, May 5, 2008 on Fort Davis Street, SE.

Shortly before 6 pm on Monday, May 5, 2008, police responded to the vicinity of Fort Davis and Q Streets, SE to investigate reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, who has been identified as 29-year-old Clifton Paul Jackson, of the 3800 block of Q Street SE, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:47 pm.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM (E).  Confidential information can also be provided to the Text Tip Line by text messaging 50-411. 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction to the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
