Homicide in the 2200 Block of 12th Street, NW

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide which occurred yesterday in the 2200 block of 12th Street, NW.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at approximately 11:30 pm, officers from the Third District responded to a residence in the 2200 block of 12th Street, NW, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male inside suffering from an apparent stab wound to the abdomen. He was transported to an area hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.

The decedent in this case has been identified as 28-year-old Calvin Jordan of the 2200 block of 12th Street, NW. A preliminary investigation indicates that the motive in this case may have been domestic in nature. 

This case remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM [E].  Anonymous information can also be sent to the department’s Text Tip Line by text messaging 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
