The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of Jerrell Henson.  At approximately 9:45 pm on Friday, May 23, 2008, 19-year-old Quortez Burno of the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, was arrested in Southeast Washington and charged with Murder Two While Armed in the death of Jerrell Henson.

At approximately 11:30 pm on Monday, May 19, 2008, police were called to the 3400 block of 25th Street, SE, to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Jerrell Henson suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.
