Fatal Shooting on Ely Place, SE

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred last night on Ely Place, SE.

On Thursday, May 29, 2008, at approximately 10:12 pm, officers from the Sixth District responded to an apartment building in the 3600 block of Ely Place, SE, to investigate the trouble.  Upon arrival they located an adult male inside of an apartment unit suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported by emergency medical personnel to the Prince George’s Hospital Center and pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m.
 
The decedent in this case has been identified as 30-year-old Angelo Stephan Moore of the 3600 block of Ely Place, SE .

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
