Fatal Shooting on First Terrace, NW

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are currently investigating a homicide which occurred early this morning in the 1100 block of First Terrace, NW.

At approximately 1:37 am on Saturday, June 7, 2008, police responded to the 1100 block of First Terrace, NW to investigate the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body lying in front of 1136 First Terrace. DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel were then summoned to the scene.

The victim, who has been identified as 19-year-old as Brandon Pollard, of the unit block of Galveston Place, SW, was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
