Homicide in the 3300 Block of 10th Place, SE

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred late yesterday evening in the 3300 block of 10th Place, SE.

On Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers from the Seventh District and DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the 3300 block of 10th Place, SE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, who has been identified as 36-year-old Charles Tyrone Locke of the 1200 block of 11th Street, NW, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25, 000 to the anyone person or persons that  provides information which  leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
