Homicide in the 1200 block of 7th Street, NW

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1200 block of 7th Street, NW.

At approximately 9:44 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2008, officers from the Third District responded to the rear of the 1200 block of 7th Street, NW, to investigate the sounds of gunshots in that area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:05 pm.

The decedent in this case has been identified as 19-year-old Christian Lamar Taylor of the 1300 block of 7th Street, NW.

This case remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
