The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting which occurred yesterday evening in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE.

At approximately 7:20 pm on Monday, July 28, 2008, officers from the Seventh District responded to the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE,  to investigate the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they discovered an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.

The identity of the decedent in this case is being withheld pending all of the proper next-of-kin notifications. 
    
This case is being investigated by detectives from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

UPDATE 7/30/08:

The decedent in that case has been identified as 28-year-old Daniel Clark. Mr. Clark was fatally shot on Monday, July 28, 2008, in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE.

This case remains under investigation by detectives from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.
