Homicide in the 4600 Block of Kane Place, NE

Detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the 4600 block of Kane Place, NE.

 

At approximately 9:10 pm Saturday, September 27, 2008, members assigned to the Sixth District responded to the 4600 block Kane Place, NE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 36-year-old Kwamari Harrell, of the 500 block of 44th Street, NE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to Prince George’s County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
