The Metropolitan Police Department in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two armed robbery suspects.

At approximately 12:00 pm, Friday, October 3, 2008, two armed males entered the Wachovia Bank located in the 4300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW. Once inside, the suspects reportedly displayed assault weapons and robbed the premises of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects in this case left the scene in a red Sport Utility Vehicle, which was found abandoned shortly after the robbery.

The suspects in this case are described as black males, wearing black clothing and white gloves, and armed with assault weapons.

Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM [E]. Anonymous information can also be sent to the department’s TEXT TIP LNE by text messaging 50411.
