The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide of Jerome Lorenzo Glenn. At approximately 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2008, members from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch arrested 26-year-old Corey Palmer of Southeast Washington and charged him with Felony Murder in the shooting death of Mr Glenn.

At approximately 1:07 am on Saturday, September 6, 2008, police were called to the rear of the 1700 block of Tobias Drive, SE, to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds alongside a residence in the 1700 block of Stanton Terrace, SE. The victim who was identified as 44-year-old Jerome Lorenzo Glenn of the 1700 block of Bruce Place, SE, was transported to an area hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.

The defendant in this case is scheduled to be arraigned in D.C. Superior Court on Monday, October 6, 2008.
