Homicide Victim from 22nd Street, SE Identified

The Metropolitan Police Department has announced the identity of the man who was fatally shot in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, SE.  The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Michael Henry, of the 2200 block of Savannah Street, SE.

 

At approximately 3 am on Saturday, August 30, 2008, officers from the Seventh District responded to the 3400 block of 22nd Street, SE, to investigate the possible sounds of gunshots at that location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unidentified male in that block suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the scene, but could find no signs consistent with life. The victim, who was later identified as Michael Henry, was pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia

 

This case remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.
