The Metropolitan Police Department announced today that three arrests have been made in the homicide of Mark Kenneth Blank, a 56-year-old Southwest DC man. Police arrested three male juveniles ages 13, 14, and 15. They face charges of Felony Murder.

On Monday, October 6, 2008, at approximately 9:15 pm, First District officers and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the 1000 block of 6th Street, SW for the report of a man down.  Upon arrival, they located a male suffering from severe head trauma. 

The victim, identified as 56-year-old Mark Kenneth Blank, of the 900 block of 6th Street, SW, was transported to an area hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.  On Thursday, October 16, 2008, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
