The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide which occurred in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, SE.
At approximately 10:48 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, officers from the Seventh District responded to the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, SE, to investigate the possible sounds of gunshots at that location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male in that block suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded to the scene, but were unable to find any signs consistent with life. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 22-year-old Tinsley Miller of the 3600 block of 22nd Street, SE.
This case remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.
