The Metropolitan Police Department announced there has been an arrest made in the October 2008 homicide of James Hill.  

At approximately 6:15 pm on Friday, October 24, 2008, police arrested a 15-year –old juvenile male from Southwest Washington and charged him with Murder One While Armed in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old James Hill.   

At approximately 10:16 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, officers from the First District were called to the Unit block of N Street, SW, to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mr. Hill suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.  He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.   

This case represents one of the two cases closed within the last 24 hours by members from the Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch involving homicides from October 2008.
