Arrest Made in the Homicide of Darian D'Juan Cole

The Metropolitan Police Department announced an arrest has been made in the October 2008 homicide of Darian D’Juan Cole.

 

At approximately 10:15 am, on Friday, October 24, 2008, members of the Sixth District Warrant Squad arrested 23-year-old Alonzo Lamont Williams of no fixed address, in connection with the fatal shooting of Darian D’Juan Cole. Mr. Williams has been charged with Murder Two While Armed in this case.

 

On Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at approximately 9:36 pm, officers from the Sixth District discovered an adult male in the 300 block of 62nd Street, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Darian D’Juan Cole was transported to an area hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.

 

This case represents one of the two cases closed within the last 24 hours by members from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch involving homicides from October 2008.
