Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are currently investigating a homicide that occurred at 22nd Street, SE and Alabama Avenue, SE.
Shortly before 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, Seventh District officers and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the vicinity of 22nd Street and Alabama Avenue, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old David Tucker, of the unit block of Capital Heights Boulevard in District Heights, Maryland, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:28 pm. The remains were then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by a caller to DC Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
