The Metropolitan Police Department announced an arrest has been made in the homicide of Daniel Guion, who was shot to death in July of 2008.  On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 19-year-old Darcel Harris, of Northeast Washington, was arrested and charged with Murder II While Armed pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.

At approximately 1:00 am on Thursday, July 17, 2008, officers from the Fifth District responded to the 3900 block of 9th Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.  The victim, identified as 29-year-old Daniel Guion, of the 4000 block of 9th Street, NE, was pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
