Homicide in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are currently investigating a homicide that resulted from a shooting committed in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE.

 

Shortly before 10:25 pm on Monday, November 3, 2008, officers from the Fifth District and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, they located a juvenile male in the rear of the 1200 block of Brentwood Road suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital and admitted in critical condition.  On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, the victim, identified as 15-year-old LaDonta Longshore, of the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE, was pronounced dead.  

 

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM[E]. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

 

Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-2777 and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
