The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the April 2007 homicide of Robert Steven Beidleman, Jr.  On Friday, November 14, 2008, detectives from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offense Branch arrested 35-year-old Ronnell Richard James of Northeast Washington. Mr. James has been charged with Felony Murder in connection with this case.

On Sunday, April 8, 2007, police were called to an apartment building in the 1800 block of Central Place, NE, for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival officers located an adult male suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds. The victim identified as 56-year-old Robert Steven Beidleman of the above address, was subsequently pronounced dead on the scene.
