The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that the victim from the ongoing homicide investigation from East Capitol Street, SE, has been identified.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 46-year-old Anthony Pryor of the 6000 block of 42nd Street in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Mr. Pryor was discovered at approximately 6:40 am on Sunday, November 23, 2008, in an unconscious condition at the intersection of East Capitol Street, SE and the southbound Interstate 295 exit. He was subsequently pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
This case remains under investigation by members assigned to the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
