Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are investigating the fatal shooting, which occurred on North Capitol Street, NW.
At approximately 4:50 pm, on Wednesday, December 03, 2008, members of the department’s First District and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded to an apartment building located in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 22-year-old Ticardo Justin Ward-Minor, of the Unit block of N Street, NW, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
