Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Offenses Branch announced today an arrest has been made in a sexual assault that occurred on Thursday, December 18, 2008.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, December, 18, 2008, a man approached a woman in the 4100 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE and engaged her in a conversation. The man then attacked and sexually assaulted her.

Police subsequently arrested 39-year-old Wayne Davis of Southeast, DC. He has been charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse.
