The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the December 2006 homicide of Jamel Raheem Wilder. On Tuesday, December 30, 2008, members from the Capital Area Regional Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested 41-year-old Andre Denan Sanders of Northeast Washington and charged him pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant with Second Degree Murder in the death of Mr. Wilder.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006, an adult male was located in the 600 block of Park Road, NW, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who was later identified as Jamel Raheem Wilder, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
