The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the murder of 45-year-old Donald Vincent Wallace. On Sunday, January 25, 2009, 47-year-old Carla Latrice Thompson, of Southeast, DC was placed under arrest and charged with Murder Two While Armed in connection with this murder. 

At approximately 7:23 pm, on Saturday, January 24, 2009, members from the Seventh District responded to an apartment building located in the 2600 block of Bowen Road, SE, to investigate the report of an assault. Upon arrival, they located an adult male inside of an apartment unit suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds.  Personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded, but were unable to find any signs consistent with life. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
