Escapee Sought

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a fugitive from justice who escaped from police custody while at the United Medical Center.

On Saturday, January 31, 2009, at approximately 5:30 pm, 24-year-old Corey Harrison, of the 4400 block of Sheriff Road, NE, who was arrested by members of the Metropolitan Police Department as a Fugitive from Justice from Prince George’s County, Maryland relative to a bench warrant for Paternity Support, escaped from police custody at the United Medical Center, located at 1310 Southern Avenue, SE.  He escaped from a men’s room by climbing through the ceiling of the restroom and then making his way to another room.  When he escaped, he was wearing a white T-shirt, boxer shorts and a handcuff on one wrist.

Corey Harrison is still at large.  Anyone with information regarding Corey Harrison’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1(888) 919-CRIM[E] (1-888-919-2746). 

Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by a caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
