The Metropolitan Police Department has completed its investigation into the June fatal traffic collision in the Unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW which killed 71-year-old Jerome Bernard Jones.

On June 26, 2008, Jones was attempting to cross the street against the light, when he was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe.  Mr. Jones, of the Unit block of E Street, NW, succumbed to his injuries on Friday July 4, 2008.

The Metropolitan Police Department Major Crash Investigation Unit has determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor in this collision.
