At approximately 7:08 am this morning, members of the Fourth District responded to 766 Park Road NW for the report of an unconscious preson. On arrival, units found an unidentified male who was shot on the left side of his torso. The victim was transported by DCFD to DC General Hospital were he was pronounced dead at 9:50 am. His identity is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

The case is under investigation by detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department.
