Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 2800 block of Good Hope Road, SE.
Shortly before 6:00 pm on Friday, March 27, 2009, police responded to the 2800 block of Good Hope Road, SE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival on the scene, officers located an adult male shooting victim in front of the 2800 block Good Hope Road. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, but they could find no life signs. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Elwood Carl Wallace of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
