The Metropolitan Police Department has announced the recovery of a handgun from the streets of the District of Columbia.

At approximately 11:45 am, on Monday, April 13, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Sixth District were conducting an investigation in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE.  During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun was recovered.  The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License, among other charges.
