Multiple Shooting Incident on Bryant Street, NW

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred this afternoon on Bryant Street, NW.

 

Shortly before 3 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2009, members of the Fifth District and D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to a residence located in the unit block of Bryant Street NW to investigate the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, they discovered four victims suffering gunshot wounds. 

 

One of the victims, identified as 42-year-old Monique C. Nalle of the Bryant Street address, was  pronounced dead on the scene by a representative of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.  Subsequently, the body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

 

The other three victims, adult males, were transported to area hospitals and admitted for treatment. Their identities are being withheld because they are witnesses in the case.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

 

Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to D.C. CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
