The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that a handgun has been taken off the streets of the District of Columbia.
At approximately 5:50 pm on Monday, April 27, 2009, members assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District were conducting an investigation in the 600 block of Newton Place, NW. As a result of the investigation, a handgun with several live rounds of ammunition was recovered. The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
