Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an additional arrest has been made in the December 2008 homicide of Luis Kpigiri. As the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by members from the Homicide Branch, an arrest warrant was executed earlier today, Thursday, May 21, 2009, in Northeast Washington on 19-year-old Timothy Thirskell Fitzpatrick charging him with Murder Two While Armed.
At approximately 2:30 am on December 30, 2008, police were called to rear of the 2700 block of 10th Street, NE, to investigate the report of a possible assault at that location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds. The victim identified as Luis Kpigiri of no fixed address, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Three adult males have been previously charged in connection with this case.
