Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred on May 28, 2009.
At approximately 7:22 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Sixth District and DC Fire and Emergency Services Department personnel responded to the rear alley of the 5000 block of D Street, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 18-year-old Angelo Lee Johnson, of the 4900 block of 78th Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:01 pm.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
