The Metropolitan Police Department announced results of the Second Phase of All Hands on Deck (AHOD), a district city-wide effort which began at 6 am Friday, June 5 and continued through 6 am on Sunday, June 7, 2009.

MPD officers made 510 arrests. During AHOD, all available sworn MPD personnel were on patrol throughout the District emphasizing community policing, focused law enforcement and community outreach. This included increased foot beats, homicide detectives following up on their cases for new leads, and recruits passing out specific crime-related information.

The City-Wide AHOD featured community-focused events on Saturday, June 6, 2009 where District agencies were involved in neighborhood clean-ups and educational services. 

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any unsolved homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

The MPD is reminding residents, or anyone else who may know of a robbery that occurred in the District, that the MPD offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any armed robbery or a robbery that results in serious bodily injury.

The MPD is also working with Crime Solvers.  Through the DC Crime Solver’s program, individuals who provide information that leads to an arrest and indictment in a robbery or other serious crime may receive a reward of up to $1,000 by calling 1-866-411-TIPS.
