Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 600 block of Quebec Place, NW.
On Monday, June 22, 2009, at approximately 9:56 pm, officers assigned to the Third District were dispatched to the 600 block of Quebec Place, NW to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located two adult victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported both victims to area hospitals where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries.
The decedent in this case is identified as 28-year-old Ryan Randy Trotman, of the 7400 block of 7th Street, NW.
The identity of the second victim is being withheld at this time due to witness status.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
