Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are currently investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1300 block of Perry Street, NE.
At approximately 5:08 am, on Sunday, September 20, 2009, officers from the Fifth District were called to the 1400 block of Perry Street, NE, for the report of sounds of gunshots. During a canvass of that location, officers located a male subject in the 1300 block of Perry Street, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded to the scene, but were unable to find any signs consistent with life. The victim was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia. At 8:49 am, on September 20, 2009, the victim was subsequently pronounced dead. He has been identified as 35 year-old Abdullah R. Fuller of the 1400 block of Newton Street, NE, Washington DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
