The Metropolitan Police Department has announced an arrest has been made in connection with robberies at a Safeway Store located in the 400 block of 14th Street, SE. The incidents occurred on August 29, 2009 and August 31, 2009.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at approximately 4 pm, 48-year-old Quinton Raynard Jones of the 1800 block of D Street, SE was arrested by officers assigned to the First District.
Mr. Jones has been charged with Robbery Force of Violence, Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Knife in connection with these cases.
These cases remain under investigation by detectives assigned to the First District.
