The decedent from the fire that took place on Friday, October 2, 2009, at a residence located in the 3000 block of O Street, NW, has now been identified. The decedent is identified as 78-year-old Nadegsda Stanley of the above address.  Investigators assigned to this case, believe that based upon a preliminary investigation, this fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.  However, the investigation into this case continues as the exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
