Police Make Arrests in Connection with Burglaries

The Metropolitan Police Department announced today that two suspects have been arrested in connection to a string of burglaries in the First and Fifth Districts.

On October 28, 2009, one juvenile and one adult, 18-year-old Daniel Howard, of northeast DC were each arrested and charged with burglary in the second degree.  The two were apprehended after they were observed by undercover officers with the Fifth District Street Crimes Unit gaining entry to a home in the 1200 block of Florida Avenue, NE.

Detectives are now investigating whether the suspects are connected to as many as 13 robberies in the First and Fifth Districts.
