Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the death of an unidentified person who was found in the 2800 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE.

On Sunday, September 25, 2011, at approximately 6:45 pm, units from the Seventh District responded to the 2800 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE, to investigate the trouble.  Upon their arrival, they discovered the skeletal remains of a person of unknown gender in the rear of that location. Detectives from the Homicide Branch and technicians from the Forensic Science Division responded to the scene, along with members from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner who pronounced the victim dead.

The decedent’s remains were later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy.  At this time the manner of death is undetermined.
