The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating and seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying suspects who have been involved in the recent commercial robberies of various convenience store establishments.  Videos from the various commercial establishments that were robbed are available online (with the links listed).

• On Sunday, November 27, 2011, just after 2:00AM, three armed gunmen entered the 7-11 located at 950 Division Avenue, NE, and robbed the cashier at gunpoint of US currency.  Suspect one jumped over the counter and demanded that the cashier surrender the proceeds from the cash drawer.  Suspect two ordered unidentified customers to the floor, while searching their pockets and taking personal items. All three suspects made good their escape by fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle.

• On Sunday, November 27, 2011, shortly before 4:00 AM, two armed gunmen entered the 7-11 located at 2501 Benning Road, NE. Suspect one jumped over the counter and demanded that the cashier surrender the proceeds from the cash drawer. Suspect two ordered customers to the floor while searching their pockets and taking personal items. Both suspects made good their escape by fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle.

• On Monday, November 28, 2011, just after 6:00 AM, two armed gunmen entered the 7-11 located at 2501 Benning Road, NE, jumped over the counter, and demanded that the cashier surrender the proceeds from the cash drawer while suspect two held a gun to a customer and demanded his personal property. Both suspects made good their escape by fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle.

• On Monday, November 28, 2011, at approximately 6:32 AM, two armed gunmen entered the Shop Express located at 3900 Benning Road, NE and robbed the store and its owner. The subjects exited the store and fled.

The suspects have been known to wear masks and brandish a firearm.  The community is advised that if they see the suspects they should contact the police immediately.  Use extreme caution and consider these suspects armed and dangerous. 

Anyone who has knowledge of any of these cases, is able to identify the subjects in these cases, or sees these individuals should take no action, but should immediately call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM [E] – 1-888-919-2746. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
