The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a triple shooting which occurred in the 1900 block of Savannah Street, Southeast.

On Monday, June 25, 2012, at approximately 12:00 pm, units from the Seventh District responded to the 1900 block of Savannah Street, SE for sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. A juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. An adult victim and juvenile victim were also transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, at this time. However, a preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect was firing a weapon at another individual at which time the victims were struck by gunfire. This investigation is continuing.
