Fatal Shooting in the 3500 Block of 18th Street, SE

At approximately 10:54 pm on the evening of Thursday, November 26, 1998, a member of the Metropolitan Police Department reported the sounds of gun fire in the 3500 block of 18th street SE. After conducting a canvass of the area an unidentified victim was located along side of 3577 18th street S.E. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim has been identified as 28-year old Devarlo M. Crawford of the 6900 block Forrest Terrace Landover, MD.

The case is under investigation by detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department.

All calls to the Crime Solvers Unit are confidential and a caller need not give his/her name. A caller who provides information through the Crime Solvers Unit that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case is eligible for a reward of up to ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
