Fatal Stabbing in Northeast

Shortly before 11:00 on the night of Monday, December 28, 1998, police responded to the area of 58th and Blaine Streets, NE to investigate the report of an assault. Police checked the area with negative results. The officers were then dispatched to 109 - 57th Place, NE, where they discovered a male suffering from multiple stab wounds lying on the ground in front of that address.

The victim, who has been identified as 32-year-old Kevin David Bowen, of the 100 block of 57th Place, NE, was transported by ambulance to Prince George's General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:23 pm.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch.
